Job Title: International Enterprise Network Specialist

Reporting To: International Systems Security Manager

 Overall Purpose: To ensure the internal data networks of the company are protected from unauthorised access from both internal and external sources.

To provide specialist security advice and solutions regarding the companies Internet, Intranet and other MIS network communications solutions (LAN/WAN environment)

 Principal Job Responsibilities

  1. To carry out continual research within the industry to identify and report on threats and level of risk to the security of the LAN/WAN environment, and to propose a course of action to mitigate those threats.
  2. To carry out a program of continual assesment of current security methods protecting the LAN/WAN and make recommendations for improvement.
  3. To determine, write and review security standards for hardware and software configurations of equipment that make-up the LAN/WAN.
  4. Support the International Systems Security Manager in the creation, review and enforcementof appropriate LAN/WAN security policy for issue to the rest of the company.
  5. Liaise with suppliers over security standards and configurations of equipment purchased by the company for use on or as part of the LAN/WAN.
  6. Liaise with other ISG and MIS teams where necessary to ensure standards of security are being maintained to the agreed levels.
  7. Any duties deemed necessary by the International Systems Security Manager.
