Job Title: Network performance analyst

Location: London

Reporting To: Network performance manager

Overall Purpose: To operate and extract information from various Network monitoring systems and produce reports indicating the quality and performance of the switched voice network .

 Principal Job Responsibilities:

  1. Operate and produce regular reports from various network management & monitoring systems .
  2. Complete regular housekeeping procedures to ensure smooth operation of these systems and create regular system backups.
  3. To ensure reports are accessable by the relevant departments .
  4. To provide support to the LOCC and Network Optimisation departments as requested .
  5. To check the integrity and continuity of information passed from the connected voice switches into the various monitoring systems .
  6. To format raw information from various sources and produce statistical reports , using primarily Microsoft Excel or similar package .
  7. Produce adhoc reports as requested by the Performance & Traffic Manager .

Suppliers: MIS , Switch Operations , ECTEL , Northern telecom , SOTAS .

 

Qualifications and Experiences: (E = Essential; D = Desirable)

E Interpersonal skills

E Computer literacy ( Windows 95 / NT )

E Experience of Microsoft Excel

D Database administration , SQL & UNIX experience

D Appreciation of Switched Voice Networks .
